Welcome to Tacos La Piedad, a vibrant gem in Sacramento’s culinary landscape, located at 2700 Northgate Blvd. As a food reviewer of Grubbio, I am excited to introduce you to this Mexican restaurant that has garnered a loyal following among local taco enthusiasts.
Tacos La Piedad is not just about tacos; it's about the experience. From the moment you step in, you're enveloped in warm, inviting colors and the tantalizing aromas of traditional Mexican cuisine. The decor strikes a perfect balance between authenticity and modernity, making it an ideal spot for casual dining with friends or a quick bite after work.
One of the standout features of Tacos La Piedad is their selection of street tacos. Many patrons rave about the asada tacos, often described as some of the best they've tasted. One customer, AJ, shared that after an initial visit with less-than-stellar chicken tacos, their next try of the asada made all the difference, pointing out the customizable options for cilantro and onion as a memorable touch. This shows Tacos La Piedad cares about personalizing your dining experience.
Moreover, the restaurant has a special knack for culinary details, serving grilled onions that add a delightful sweetness to the tacos. Erica Smith, another dedicated diner, highlights the mulitas and adobada as must-tries, further emphasizing the extensive flavor offerings on the menu. Whether you’re a fan of chicken, carnitas, or even seafood, there's something to satisfy every palate.
But it’s not just the tacos that shine at Tacos La Piedad. They are known for their charcoal-cooked chicken, which Ton T asserts does not disappoint, showcasing the care that goes into each dish. Plus, the horchata, though receiving mixed reviews, remains a classic accompaniment that ties the flavors together. For those looking for excellent sides, expect delicious beans, rice, and salsas that have won over many diners.
The inviting atmosphere is complemented by friendly staff, as noted by Justen Graham, who enjoyed his meal with the added entertainment of music and visuals. You can expect great hospitality that matches the mouthwatering food, making every visit a delightful culinary adventure.
Tacos La Piedad also boasts convenient parking, ensuring that your focus can remain solely on enjoying the fantastic food. As DJ 4eign testifies, no trip to Sacramento is complete without a stop here, which speaks volumes of the restaurant's reputation.
In essence, Tacos La Piedad is more than just a taqueria; it is a celebration of flavorful Mexican street food served in a welcoming environment. Whether you are a local or just passing through, make it a point to indulge in their offerings. Your taste buds will thank you.

My first stop here I got 2 chicken tacos that were kinda dry and lacking flavor. After a couple months I decided to come back and the try the asada and the horchata. The horchata was alright but nowhere near the worst Ive had and the tacos were easily the best asada street tacos Ive ever had. Really like that you get to choose how much cilantro and onion will be on your taco. 4.5/5.

I've been going to this taqueria for years. FOOD: they serve traditional Mexican food with very good prices. My favorite items are tostada de camaron or caviche, the tacos, mulitas, grilled chicken with rice and beans. They also have fresh salsa bar with very good SPICY Pico de Gallo. Workers: are nice Inside: clean
